If you love the information you find in blogs and on other websites, but hate the way the formatting can interfere with your ability to focus on the material at hand, you need to check out a browser plugin called Evernote Clearly.
This little gem is a lifesaver when you’re on a site that is cluttered with ads or other mostly irrelevant information. A single click of a button on the toolbar gives a clean, distraction-free view of the content, and you can even choose the size of the font in which the text is displayed. Plus, since it’s from Evernote, you can quickly highlight relevant information and save it all to any notebook in your Evernote account.
Edit: Evernote has announced that they will no longer support Clearly. Well, it was good while it lasted.
My favorite use case is with crochet patterns, which can be tough to read all on their own, much less with typical ad units, page navigation, and layout elements.
